English abstract

A review of the current context of library education is carried out, where each day the impact of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) is more appreciated; where in the teaching-learning process there is a change of paradigm, with new teaching roles, new teaching methodologies; in contexts of quality and flexibility in the curricula; with various forms of communication between the student and the teacher mediated by ICT; in face-to-face and distance modalities; with new demands for literacy (informational and digital), with emphatic changes in higher education, in libraries and in current information resources

Se realiza una revisión del contexto actual de la educación bibliotecológica en dónde cada día se aprecia más el impacto de las Tecnologías de Información y Comunicación (TIC); en dónde en el proceso de enseñanza– aprendizaje se produce un cambio de paradigma, con nuevos roles docentes, nuevas metodologías de enseñanza; en contextos de calidad y flexibilidad en los currículos; con diversas formas de comunicación entre el estudiante y el docente mediadas por las TIC; en modalidades presenciales y a distancia; con nuevas demandas de alfabetización (informacional y digital), con cambios enfáticos en la educación superior, en las bibliotecas y en los recursos informativos actuales.
