English abstract

In 2045 there will be no libraries or librarians, at least as we know them. In the world of "virtual reality" that Steven Spielberg shows in his latest film "Reader Player One", a semi-robot "curator" appears, which would come be a kind of librarian who keeps the memory of the memories of the programmers of those virtual worlds. This appearance of a "curator" and not a librarian, referring to someone who selects "memories" of a person, It falls into a role of "guardian of memory", which gives meaning to organized information. I find this vision interesting and it catches my attention. Could it be that the librarian will give way to the "curator" or "curator" all at once? For those of us who have witnessed cultural transformations and technology that has touched us, the digital "content curator" is a figure that continues to give us something to talk about not only in the field of librarianship.

En el 2045 no existirán las bibliotecas ni los bibliotecarios, por lo menos tal como los conocemos. En el mundo de “realidad virtual” que muestra Steven Spielberg en su última película “​Reader Player One​”, aparece un “curator” semi-robot, que vendría a ser una especie de bibliotecario que custodia la memoria de los recuerdos de los programadores de esos mundos virtuales. Esta aparición de un “​curator​” y no un bibliotecario, refiriéndose a alguien que selecciona “recuerdos” de una persona, recae en un rol de “guardián de la memoria”, que le da sentido a la información organizada. Esta visión me parece interesante y me llama la atención. ​¿Será que el bibliotecario de todas formas le dará paso al “curator” o “curador” de una vez? Para los que venimos siendo testigos de las transformaciones culturales y tecnológicas que nos ha tocado, el “content curator” digital es una figura que sigue dando de qué hablar no solamente en el ámbito bibliotecario.
