English abstract
The present text focuses on the topic of History of Reading and its possible definition. Throughout the work successive approximations are made towards its definition. On the other hand, several theoretical aspects of this discipline are studied.

El presente texto trata sobre el tema de la Historia de la Lectura y su posible definición, tanto preliminar y como provisional. A lo largo del trabajo se realizan una serie de aproximaciones sucesivas a su definición. Por otra parte, se estudian varios aspectos teóricos de esta disciplina.
