English abstract

This publication offers the first results of the analysis of the scientific production of the Universitat de València for the decade 2000-2009 made by exploiting the databases of the Web of Science (SCI, SSCI and A & HCI). The information is organized in two chapters. The first one, dedicated offering a general image of the University's production, allows us to appreciate the volume of circulating publications in those databases, their growth in the studied period, the documentary typology, the language of publication and their thematic classification. For this, two classifications have been used, the first one being the most detailed, based on the 247 thematic categories in which the Journal Citation Reports groups the published journals of the works, and a second one, based on the thematic areas and sub-areas considered by the ANEP ( National Agency for Evaluation and Prospective) used to facilitate obtaining a more synthetic image. This chapter also offers indicators of the impact of the research, based on the citation received for the work of the UV and in its comparison of the citations received by the set of Spanish works using the Relative Scientific Impact indicator.

En esta publicación se ofrecen los primeros resultados del análisis de la producción científica de la Universitat de València para la década 2000-2009 realizado mediante la explotación de las bases de datos de la Web of Science (SCI, SSCI y A&HCI). La información está organizada en dos capítulos. El primero, dedicado a ofrecer una imagen general de la producción de la Universitat, permite apreciar el volumen de publicaciones circulantes en esas bases de datos, su crecimiento en el periodo estudiado, la tipología documental, el idioma de publicación y su clasificación temática. Para esto se han utilizado dos clasificaciones, la primera más detallada basada en las 247 categorías temáticas en las que el Journal Citation Reports agrupa las revistas de publicación de los trabajos, y una segunda, basada en las áreas y subáreas temáticas consideradas por la ANEP (Agencia Nacional de Evaluación y Prospectiva) utilizada para facilitar la obtención de una imagen más sintética. En este capítulo también se ofrecen indicadores del impacto de la investigación, basados en la citación recibida por los trabajos de la UV y en su comparación de las citas recibidas por el conjunto de trabajos españoles (para un mismo año, revista, categoría temática y tipo documental) utilizando para ello el indicador de Impacto Científico Relativo.
