English abstract
Global trends in the field of scientific journals. A brief global state-of-the-art on the publication of scientific journals is presented, updated thanks to the author's participation in the 8th International Conference of Scientific Journals held at the University of La Costa, in Barranquilla, Colombia, organized by the Spanish journal El Profesional de la Información and the think tank in Library and Information Science Grupo ThinkEPI, in May 2018. The topics covered are: transition from the paper version to the electronic version, open access, quality indicators (citations and altmetrics) and the need to do marketing due to the great competition between journals.
Romanian abstract
Se prezintă, pe scurt, situaţia actuală la nivel global a revistelor ştiinţifice, idei obţinute în urma participării la Conferinţa Internaţională de Reviste Ştiinţifice, ediţia a VIII-a, ce a avut loc în cadrul Universităţii de La Costa, în Barranquilla (Columbia), mai 2018, şi organizată de către revista spaniolă El Profesional de la Información şi Grupul ThinkEPI, un think thank în ştiinţele informării şi documentării. Printre temele care au fost dezbătute în cadrul acestui eveniment se numără: tranziţia de la revista pe suport hârtie către cea electronică, accesul deschis, indicatori de calitate (citări şi altmetrică) şi nevoia de adoptare de acţiuni de marketing, dată fiind concurenţa acerbă între revistele existente.
