English abstract
This paper presents an analysis of the inservice teachers and principals education in the context of educational reform in Mexico. This reflection related in-service training of educational actors according to the stage found in the teaching profession with the evaluation of their performance, exercise considered important to fully understand the configuration of the teaching profession that attempts to be defined in the context of teacher professional service. This essay presents a brief characterization of two models of continuing education that are identified in the framework of the General Law on Professional Teaching Service (LGSPD) (DOF, 2013c). Second, a comparison of both models is made. Finally, it concludes with some thoughts that seek to contribute to the definition of an educational model for the inservice teachers and principals education in Mexico.
