English abstract
The Mexican educational reform has established new standards of reference for the ordering of the teaching profession. These are Profiles, Parameters and Indicators (PPI), on which are based the competitive assessments that determine income, promotion and job stability in the Professional Teaching Service and in undergraduate degree programs in Education, as well as in teacher training programs. The article proposes that, from the PPI, the labor competence units of supervisors, managers and technical pedagogical advisors can be identified to define their responsibilities in the field of counseling and accompaniment to the teacher and the schools. It describes the method used to identify these units of competence and how the proposal was validated by an expert committee. It is concluded that it is possible to distinguish working domains and clarify responsibilities, but it will still be necessary to define a manual of functions that allows a better coordination among these actors.
