English abstract

A public library is an institution in transition at a time of transformation (crisis) of concepts (values) related to books and reading: truth, memory, the public, the personal, the private and the intimate, the real and the virtual ... And that's why we constantly ask ourselves: is it also an agent to seek knowledge, recognition and participation? A hospitable place for everyone? A space that produces and recognizes knowledge, information and knowledge? The report tries to answer the above through the following basic questions: Who are we? where do we come from? What have we proposed ourselves to do? What do we do as a public library? What resources do we have? What have we achieved in this administration 2013-2018? What do we aspire to become?

Una biblioteca pública es una institución en transición en un momento de transformación (crisis) de los conceptos (valores) relacionados con el libro y la lectura: la verdad, la memoria, lo público, lo personal, lo privado y lo íntimo, lo real y lo virtual...Y por eso constantemente nos preguntamos: ¿también es un agente para procurar conocimiento, reconocimiento y participación? ¿un lugar hospitalario para tod@s? ¿el cuarto recinto cultural con más visitantes en el país? ¿una zona verde en una vasta mancha gris? ¿un espacio que produce y reconoce conocimiento, información y saberes? El informe intenta responder a lo anterior a través de las siguientes preguntas básicas: ¿quiénes somos? ¿de dónde venimos? ¿qué nos hemos propuesto hacer? ¿qué hacemos como biblioteca pública? ¿con qué recursos contamos? ¿qué logramos en esta administración 2013-2018? ¿qué se aspiramos ser?

Une bibliothèque publique est une institution en transition à une époque de transformation (crise) de concepts (valeurs) liés au livre et à la lecture: vérité, mémoire, le public, le personnel, le privé et l’intime, le réel et le virtuel ... Et c'est pourquoi nous nous demandons constamment: est-ce aussi un agent de recherche de connaissances, de reconnaissance et de participation? Un lieu hospitalier pour tous? Un espace qui produit et reconnaît des connaissances, des informations et des savoirs? Le rapport tente de répondre à la question ci-dessus en répondant aux questions de base suivantes: Qui sommes-nous? D'où venons nous? Qu'avons-nous proposé de faire? Que faisons-nous en tant que bibliothèque publique? De quelles ressources disposons-nous? Qu'est-ce que nous avons réalisé dans cette administration 2013-2018? A quoi aspirons-nous?
