English abstract
This paper consists of the description of the experience of creating a new course at undergraduate level in the school of Administration of a private institution in Distrito Federal, Brazil. This course is aimed at the management of innovation in the organizational environment. This report searches raising the teacher’s and the students’s perceptions concerning the resources used and the different practices developed during four academic semesters (2017-2018). As theoretical basis, the main concepts and aspects of Innovation themes are redeemed, especially related to the organizations’ strategic perspective. Besides the bibliografic research, the methodological procedures include a documental research over the several sillabuses of the existing Administration courses in Distrito Federal, in order to identify similar initiatives compared to the focus institution. The students’s perception in relation to the study of Innovation at undergraduate level was observed by means of a survey applied to former students. By the students’s and the teacher’s observations, reinforced by high satisfaction levels with the course, it is possible to conclude that the inclusion of Innovation theme in the syllabus of the Administration course (and other related ones in the Apllied Social Sciences area) is considered useful and necessary, mainly because it brings the future administrator closer to the fast changes which the organizations go through due to the urgency of innovation as a strategic and surviving factor.
