English abstract

The present article aims to describe the results of the collaboration between the National Documentation Centre (EKT) and the Library of the Greek Parliament. This collaboration focused on the deliverance of the openABEKT Service to the Library, which included catalogue data migration from Horizon system to openABEKT platform. Accordingly we refer to the challenges we met as well as the benefits and perspectives which open up for both organizations in the future. The article finally aims to boost up similar initiatives, as we think that our experience may motivate similar or other collaborations in the future.

Το παρόν άρθρο έχει ως στόχο να περιγράψει τα αποτελέσματα της συνεργασίας που πραγματοποιήθηκε μεταξύ του Εθνικού Κέντρου Τεκμηρίωσης (ΕΚΤ) και της Βιβλιοθήκης της Βουλής. Αντικείμενο της συνεργασίας ήταν η παροχή της Υπηρεσίας openABEKT στη βιβλιοθήκη που συμπεριλάμβανε και τη μετάπτωση των δεδομένων του καταλόγου της Βιβλιοθήκης από το σύστημα Horizon στην πλατφόρμα openABEKT. Παρακάτω αναφέρονται οι προκλήσεις που αντιμετωπίσαμε αλλά και τα οφέλη και οι προοπτικές που ανοίγονται και για τους δύο φορείς στο μέλλον. Απώτερος στόχος του άρθρου είναι η ενδυνάμωση και προώθηση παρόμοιων εγχειρημάτων, καθώς η καταγραφή της εμπειρίας μας θεωρούμε ότι μπορεί να κινητοποιήσει παρόμοιες ή άλλες συν- εργασίες στο μέλλον.
