English abstract

The extended economic & social competitive environments in which enterprises and organizations operates, increase the need for flexible and human-user oriented management. Academic Libraries and Information Services abroad and in our country also, do not constitute an exception. The team management in libraries consist a benchmark approach for the decentralized of power, aiming at the innovative actions of Librarians, and the improvement of quality and productivity of the provided services of information. This study initially analyzes the role and the importance of teams as well as investigates aspects of teams administration for Academic Libraries internationally and in Greece as well, examining theoretical and practical questions. Then, is argued the need and is presented the main aspects of empiric investigation for the Greek Academic Libraries in regard to a) recording of team characteristics and b) the examining of personnel’s opinions for the operation and administration of teams. The Scientists of Information in our country, if they are placed in suitable schemes of team work, may are able to constitute a lever of growth, affecting positively the management of Libraries and Information Services.

Τα διευρυμένα οικονομικοκοινωνικά ανταγωνιστικά περιβάλλοντα στα οποία λειτουργούν επιχειρήσεις και οργανισμοί, αυξάνουν την ανάγκη για ευέλικτη και προσανατολισμένη στον άνθρωπο – χρήστη, οργάνωση και διοίκηση. Οι βιβλιοθήκες – υπηρεσίες πληροφόρησης στο εξωτερικό αλλά και στην χώρα μας δεν αποτελούν εξαίρεση. Η διοίκηση ομάδων στις Βιβλιοθήκες αποτελεί δόκιμη προσέγγιση για την αποσυγκέντρωση της εξουσίας με στόχο την ενίσχυση των καινοτόμων ενεργειών των Βιβλιοθηκονόμων, της βελτίωσης της ποιότητας και της παραγωγικότητας των παρεχόμενων υπηρεσιών πληροφόρησης. Η παρούσα εργασία αρχικά αναλύει τον ρόλο και τη σημασία των ομάδων και διερευνά πτυχές διοίκησης ομάδων για τις Ακαδημαϊκές Βιβλιοθήκες διεθνώς και στην χώρα μας, εξετάζοντας θεωρητικά και πρακτικά ζητήματα. Στην συνέχεια, τεκμηριώνεται η ανάγκη και παρουσιάζονται οι κύριες πτυχές εμπειρικής διερεύνησης για τις Ελληνικές Ακαδημαϊκές Βιβλιοθήκες αναφορικά με α) την καταγραφή των χαρακτηριστικών των ομάδων και β) την καταγραφή των απόψεων του προσωπικού για την λειτουργία και την διοίκηση των ομάδων. Οι επαγγελματίες, επιστήμονες της πληροφόρησης στην χώρα μας, εφόσον ενταχθούν σε κατάλληλα σχήματα ομαδικής εργασίας δύνανται να αποτελέσουν μοχλό ανάπτυξης, επιδρώντας θετικά στην οργάνωση και διοίκηση των Βιβλιοθηκών και Υπηρεσιών Πληροφόρησης.
