English abstract
This work tried to describe the schools and scientific bases of the Social Network, with their structures made under the invisible colleges and social capital; focusing also in the explanation of the techniques in creation of maps for relashion-ship through free softwares (Pajek, CiteSpace and TouchGraph). The practicum de-velopment has been based to turn the mentioned programs into application of cases, where each plataform has shown a different behavior, caused by the self characteris¬tics of each and every informatic resource.

Se describen los resultados de una reflexión basada en los fundamentos y tendencias científicos de las Redes Sociales, cuya estructura se aborda desde los principios y actuaciones de los colegios invisibles y desde el capital social; mientras que, por otra parte, se exploran las técnicas de generación de mapas de relaciones utilizando para ello programas de software libre (Pajek, CiteSpace y TouchGraph). En la práctica seguida, se han empleado dichos programas para el estudios de casos, observándose que cada plataforma tuvo un comportamiento diferente, causado en las características propias de cada recurso informático.
