English abstract

Walter Zanini's library, director of the Museum of Contemporary Art at the University of São Paulo between 1963 and 1978, is in the process of being transferred via donation to MAC USP. The collection was presented in May 2013 by the Zanini Family, donor of this offer, in order to begin the administrative process of the definitive arrival of this private library to the Museum. The collection includes items specialized in General, Modern and Contemporary Art History. The books are in perfect condition and many of them are in bound volumes. We can affirm that the acquisition of the volumes and the constitution of the Library happened during its several years of research, teaching and teaching activities.
