English abstract

For anyone, today, after surfing the Internet for information of value is as if you were looking for a needle in a haystack: The volume of information that is generated by minute, what of it scattered and lack of truthfulness or form check its authenticity has become the tool in that great chaos. University libraries, in this context, trying to resolve it through the implementation of a new form of service, called thematic specialized directories, you can organize existing information on the Internet, low-quality criteria. This paper addresses the design and implementation of this provision in the Library of the Universidad Central "Marta Abreu" of Las Villas, which facilitates the consultation of various information resources available on the Web, thus enhancing of the information services This institution offers as well as the collaborative work between librarians and users.

Para cualquier usuario, hoy en día, navegar por Internet tras de información de valía es como si estuviera buscando una aguja en un pajar: el volumen de información que se genera por minuto, lo dispersa de la misma y la falta de veracidad o forma de comprobar su autenticidad han convertido esta herramienta en ese gran caos. Las bibliotecas universitarias, en este contexto, intentan resolverlo a través de la implementación de una nueva modalidad de servicio, denominada Directorios temáticos especializados, que permite organizar la información existente en Internet, bajo criterios de calidad. El presente trabajo aborda el diseño e implementación de esta prestación en la Biblioteca de la Universidad Central “Marta Abreu” de Las Villas, la cual facilita la consulta de diversos recursos de información disponibles en el Web, potenciando de esta manera los servicios de información que esta institución ofrece así como el trabajo colaborativo entre bibliotecarios y usuarios.
