English abstract

Dspace is a free and open source software that allows simple configuration and modification, both in its functionality and in the adaptation of its interfaces, which makes it one of the most widely used for the creation of Institutional Repositories (IR) in Universities of the world. According to OpenDOAR, out of a total of 2,685 repositories 42.3% use Dspace. The configuration of the interface of an IR is a very important aspect, its appearance and design mark its own and differential identity with the rest of the IRs, and it is what allows the interaction and accessibility of users with the system. For these aspects related to the presentation of the IR, there are three interfaces in Dspace: JSP, XML and, attached, a mobile that provides the possibility of adapting the interface to portable devices based on Android Operating Systems, IOs and Windows Phone, all of them include functions of search, navigation and the possibility of downloading content. This work will show the versatility and characteristics of the three versions of interfaces applied in tests carried out in RPsico-Fac. of Psychology, INTEMA-Fac. Engineering and CRAI Salud-FCSySS of the National University of Mar del Plata to which the authors belong and, the personalization of the RI according to the institution or faculty.

Dspace es un software gratuito y de código abierto que permite una sencilla configuración y modificación, tanto en su funcionalidad como en la adaptación de sus interfaces, motivo que lo hace uno de los más utilizados para la creación de Repositorios Institucionales (RI) en las Universidades del mundo. Según OpenDOAR, sobre un total de 2685 repositorios el 42,3% utiliza Dspace. La configuración de la interfaz de un RI es un aspecto muy importante, su apariencia y diseño marcan la identidad propia y diferencial con el resto de los RI y, es la que permite la interacción y accesibilidad de los usuarios con el sistema. Para estos aspectos relativos a la presentación del RI existen en Dspace tres interfaces: JSP, XML y, anexa una móvil que brinda la posibilidad de adaptar la interfaz a los dispositivos portátiles basados en Sistemas Operativos Android, IOs y Windows Phone, todos incluyen funciones de búsqueda, navegación y la posibilidad de descargar contenidos. En este trabajo se mostrará la versatilidad y características de las tres versiones de interfaces aplicadas en pruebas realizadas en RPsico-Fac. de Psicología, INTEMA-Fac. Ingeniería y CRAI Salud-FCSySS de la Universidad Nacional de Mar del Plata a las que los autores pertenecen y, la personalización de los RI según la institución o facultad.
