English abstract

Dynamization processes and channels of scientific communication is materialized in emergence on mechanisms to systems evaluation and qualification based on results of research and their producers of scientific information. In this study, the magnitude of compliance with certain quality standards in Peruvian scientific journals is determined, and a distinction is made with indicators for measuring scientific impact and web visibility according to the type of university and presence of journal in evaluation plattforms and indexes. Approach of bibliometric and cybermetric analysis is used, using scientific journals as units of analysis selected by their country of publication: Peru, and registered in the most known regional systems of evaluation and classification of journals. Among the results found, it is worth mentioning that the majority of Peruvian journals (53%) meet 29 criteria or less of editorial quality; as for H-index, highest proportion corresponds to journals with an H-index equal to or less than 3 (59%); also, in terms of web visibility, the results are much lower than expected: only three out of five articles are found in the academic web.

La dinamización de los procesos y canales de comunicación científica se materializa en el surgimiento de mecanismos y sistemas de evaluación y calificación de los resultados de investigación y de sus entes productores de información científica. En este estudio se determina la magnitud del cumplimiento de ciertos estándares de calidad en revistas científicas peruanas, y se establece la distinción con indicadores de medición de impacto científico y visibilidad web de acuerdo con el tipo de universidad y la presencia de la revista en índices. Se utiliza el enfoque del análisis bibliométrico y cibermétrico a partir de revistas científicas como unidades de análisis seleccionadas por su país de publicación: Perú, y registradas en los sistemas regionales de evaluación y clasificación de revistas más conocidos. Entre los resultados encontrados se destaca que la mayoría de revistas peruanas (53%) cumplen con 29 criterios o menos de calidad editorial; en cuanto al H-index, la mayor proporción corresponde a revistas con índice H igual o menos de 3 (59%); así también, en visibilidad web, el resultados es bastante inferior al esperado: apenas tres de cada cinco manuscritos es encontrado en la web académica.
