English abstract

Los esquemas de clasificación de revistas se utilizan conrelativa frecuencia en la práctica bibliométrica. Inicialmentecreados para facilitar la recuperación de información, suempleo en estudios bibliométricos de corte evaluativo aumentóa partir de la última década del pasado siglo (Glanzel ySchubert, 2003). En este sentido, los esquemas másconocidos y usados son las listas de categorías temáticas delWeb of Science y Scopus, reconocidas por múltiples autorescomo taxonomías de referencia para la ciencia (Leydesdorff etal., 2013).
