English abstract

Web ontologies design methodologies. The article analizes characteristics, definition, constitution, and technologies adopted for designing and implementing ontologies within the Semantic Web framework. Therefore, it describes relationships between Web ontologies and Linked Open Data (LOD), Resource Description Framework (RDF) model, Web Ontology Language (WQL), Simple Protocol and RDF Query Language (SPARQL) and Uniform Resources Identifiers (URIs). The study deals with naming, lexicalizing, localization and serializing. It identifies the most used methodologies for developing Web ontologies. The work describes the method proposed by Stuart (2016). According to this author, this article considers decisions about ontologies methods design representing Argentine scientific and academic research. It underlines the importance of methodological stage in the creation process of applied ontologies to optimizing their capacity of automatic inference.

El artículo analiza las características de las ontologías Web, junto con su definición, su constitución y las tecnologías que se adoptan para su diseño e implementación en el marco de la Web Semántica. Se describe su relación con los Datos Abiertos Enlazados (LOD), con el modelo Resource Description Framework (RDF), el Web Ontology Language (OWL), el Simple Protocol and RDF Query Language (SPARQL) y los Uniform Resource Identifiers (URIs). También trata con aquellas cuestiones relacionadas con la nominación, lexicalización, localización y serialización. Se identifican las metodologías más utilizadas para desarrollar ontologías Web. Se describe la metodología propuesta por Stuart (2016). Sobre dicha base, se especifican las decisiones metodológicas adoptadas para el diseño de una ontología que permita representar las investigaciones académicas y científicas argentinas. Se destaca la importancia que tiene la resolución adecuada de la instancia metodológica en el proceso de creación de una ontología aplicada, a fin de optimizar su capacidad de inferencia automática.
