English abstract

An Internet-based Document Delivery Service (DDS) has been developed at the Research Area of Bologna Central Library within the framework of the CNR (the Italian National Research Council) Project BiblioMIME, in order to: ·take advantage of new Internet technologies ·promote cooperation among CNR and Italian university libraries ·reduce DDS management costs ·achieve short turnaround times in satisfying DD requests

E' stato sviluppato un servizio di Document Delivery Internet-based (DDS) presso la Biblioteca Centrale del CNR di Bologna, all’interno del progetto BiblioMIME, allo scopo di ·trarre vantaggio dalle nuove tecnologie offerte dalla rete ·promuovere la cooperazione tra CNR e le biblioteche delle università italiane ·ridurre i costi del DDS ·ridurre i tempi di risposta alle richieste di DD.
