English abstract

RDA is a new cataloging code that arrives trying to replace the AACR2 standards 2nd ed in the library field. But also its objective is to facilitate interoperability with other related communities (archives and museums), and present a flexible and extensible model for representation and data capture. Will it be possible in Argentina in the field of archives,libraries and museums consider adopting in the future a standard that regulates metadata in all areas at the same time connecting this previously analyzed information? Which are the standards used by Archives and Museums. Is it feasible to introduce debate and reflection in these worlds about the new tool? This thesis tries to clarify these doubts by means of a exploratory study

Spanish abstract

RDA es un nuevo código de catalogación que llega intentando reemplazar a las normas AACR2 2ºed en el ámbito bibliotecario. Pero también su objetivo es facilitar la interoperabilidad con otras comunidades afines (archivos y museos), y presentar un modelo flexible y extensible para la representación y captura de datos. ¿Será posible en Argentina en el ámbito de los archivos,bibliotecas y museos pensar en adoptar en un futuro una norma que regule los metadatos en todos los ámbitos a la vez conectando esta información previamente analizada? ¿Cuales son las normas que usan Archivos y Museos ¿Es viable introducir el debate y la reflexión en estos mundos sobre la nueva herramienta? Esta tesina intenta aclarar estas dudas por medio de un estudio exploratorio
