English abstract

e present article explores the content and style of the message from the regulations of the public and private university libraries ofthe province of Córdoba (Argentina). e aim was to know the structure and the normative aspects that include. e regulationswere studied from their web pages considering aspects, content structure, writing style and relevance of messages. is investigationstarted with the perception that the words and sentences chosen tended to indicate restrictions and limitations with a negativetone. Diversity on styles was observed and the use of negative expressions was corroborated in high percentages. Regarding thethematic structure, an arbitrary differentiation was detected that shows it as independent units that do not always have thenecessary coherence and cohesion. e primary basis on which they base the elaboration of the regulations was not determinedwith certainty, however some reasons could be pointed out from the type of mandates they establish: order the librarian #s task;guide the library users on the available resources, indicate their proper use to achieve equitable, efficient and democratic use or fitwithin strict rules. In this way, the need to investigate the fundamentals of the elaboration of these regulations is raised, which,together with the findings presented, seem to be the cause of ignorance and difficulty of application. Finally, it was possible toelaborate a series of recommendations that are included in this article.

En el presente trabajo se exploró el contenido y el estilo del mensaje en los reglamentos de las bibliotecas de las universidadespúblicas y privadas de la provincia de Córdoba (Argentina), buscando conocer la estructura que presentan y los aspectos normativosque incluyen. Se trabajó con los reglamentos publicados en sus páginas web analizando aspectos que contemplan, estructura delcontenido, estilo de redacción y pertinencia de sentencias y mensajes, partiendo de la percepción de que los vocablos elegidostienden a señalar restricciones y limitaciones con un tono negativo. Se observó diversidad en los estilos y se corroboró el uso deexpresiones negativas en un alto porcentaje. Respecto de la estructura temática se detectó una diferenciación arbitraria que lamuestra como unidades independientes que no siempre presentan la coherencia y la cohesión necesarias. No se determinó concerteza el fundamento primario sobre el que basan la elaboración de los reglamentos, sin embargo, se pudieron señalar algunasrazones a partir del tipo de mandatos que establecen: ordenar la tarea del bibliotecario, orientar al usuario sobre los recursosdisponibles, indicar su utilización adecuada para lograr el uso equitativo, eficiente y democrático o encuadrarse dentro de reglasestrictas. Queda planteada así la necesidad de investigar los fundamentos de la elaboración de estos reglamentos que, junto con loshallazgos presentados, parecen ser causales del desconocimiento y dificultad de aplicación. Finalmente, fue posible elaborar unaserie de recomendaciones sobre su confección.
