Italian abstract

La creazione di servizi di collegamento tra entità informazionali correlate è un’area che sta attraendo crescente interesse nell’ambito dello sviluppo del web in generale, e in particolare dei sistemi di informazione legati alla ricerca. Sebbene la maggior parte dei contributi sulla comunicazione scientifica elettronica abbia enfatizzato piuttosto altri benefici, quali l’aumentata velocità di comunicazione, la possibilità di scambiare contenuti multimediali e il venire meno delle limitazioni sulla lunghezza dei contributi scientifici, attualmente tanto la pratica quanto la teoria puntano sui servizi di integrazione come sulla maggior opportunità di miglioramento per la comunicazione dei contenuti. Editori, agenzie commissionarie, ricercatori e bibliotecari, stanno tutti cercando il modo per creare valore aggiunto collegando effettivamente entità informazionali logicamente correlate, presentando così ogni elemento informativo nell’ambito di un più vasto contesto di informazione stimata rilevante per gli utenti.
