English abstract
The constant evolution of Information and Communication Technologies have made possible an excess of digital content that makes it difficult for teachers to search and retrieve information. In this sense, it is necessary to generate alternatives or tools that guide how to reduce the documentary noise caused by the Internet. In this context, scientific content curation emerges as a process to filter, select, organize and share relevant and quality information from e-books, journal articles, databases and doctoral theses. The present research is developed at the University of Camagüey "Ignacio Agramonte Loynaz" and aims to: evaluate the importance of scientific content curation as a tool for information management in the activity of university teachers. The methodology of the study is based on the systematic review of literature, theoretical sampling and interviews with key informants. The conclusions of the study evidenced the pertinence of content curation as an alternative for the refinement of the searches, the dissemination of information and the scientific update, which favors the informative management of the teachers who work in the Cuban Higher Education Centers. From the above, we summarize the main tools used for curing contents. The written memory is divided in introduction, where the links between the information management and the curing of contents are exposed; methodology; results; conclusions and references.

La constante evolución de las Tecnologías de la Información y la Comunicación han posibilitado un exceso de contenido digital que dificulta a los docentes la búsqueda y recuperación de la información. Tomando en cuenta lo anterior, se hace necesario generar alternativas o herramientas que orienten cómo disminuir el ruido documental propiciado por Internet. En ese contexto, emerge la curación de contenidos científicos como un proceso para filtrar, seleccionar, organizar y compartir información relevante y de calidad proveniente de e-books, artículos de revista, bases de datos y tesis doctorales. La presente investigación se desarrolla en la Universidad de Camagüey “Ignacio Agramonte Loynaz” y tiene como objetivo: valorar la importancia de la curación de contenidos científicos como herramienta para la gestión de información en la actividad de los docentes universitarios. La metodología del estudio se sustenta en la revisión sistemática de literatura, el muestreo teórico y en entrevistas a informantes clave. Las conclusiones del estudio evidenciaron la pertinencia de la curaduría de contenidos como una alternativa para el refinamiento de las búsquedas, la difusión de información y la actualización científica, lo cual favorece la gestión informativa de los docentes que laboran en los Centros de Educación Superior cubanos. A partir de lo expresado, se resumen las principales herramientas utilizadas para la curación de contenidos. La memoria escrita se divide en introducción, donde se exponen los nexos entre la gestión de información y la curación de contenidos; metodología; resultados; conclusiones y referencias.
