English abstract

The paper highlights the dearth of library usage as a result of a lacking library literacy particularly amongst second year business education students. To examine and better understand the problem, the paper adopted three research questions; the study adopted a survey research design. The population for the study comprised of second year business education students of the faculty of education which was randomly sampled. A questionnaire was chosen as the research instrument and used to solicit answers to the research questions. The findings indicate that the level of library literacy obtained by these second-year University students indeed attributed to the low use of libraries.
