English abstract

In the seminar proposal of Professor María Eugenia Costa: "Catalogs and editorial collections: contributions to Bibliodiversity", we had to choose a topic that had to do with catalogs, editorial collections, Bibliodiversity, publishers outside the hegemonic marketing circuit. After reading the bibliography, watching the videos and interviews suggested by the teacher and taking into account my professional career, I chose to inquire about the book-album as a cultural object where the interdependence between the word, the image, the editor, the author, the illustrator, they engage with the reader himself as the protagonist of the same story. The diversity of book-album, with different characteristics, with different artistic proposals, I almost dare to say that there is a reader for each book and a book for each reader. But what do librarians of this publishing genre know? Do school and popular/public libraries when developing their library collection, do they take this genre into account? Do you know how to use it with the different users in your community?. We will try to conceptualize the topic by describing some considerations and giving some answers to these questions.

En la propuesta de seminario debíamos elegir un tema que tuviese que ver con catálogos, colecciones editoriales, Bibliodiversidad, editoriales al margen del circuito hegemónico de comercialización. Después de leer la bibliografía, ver los videos y entrevistas sugeridas por la profesora y teniendo en cuenta mi carrera profesional, elegí indagar sobre el libro-álbum como objeto cultural donde la interdependencia entre la palabra, la imagen, el editor, el autor, el ilustrador, se involucran con el propio lector como protagonista de una misma historia. La diversidad de libro-álbum, con distintas características, con diferentes propuestas artísticas casi me atrevo a decir que hay un lector para cada libro y un libro para cada lector. ¿Pero qué sabemos los bibliotecarios de este género editorial? ¿Las bibliotecas escolares y populares/ públicas cuando desarrollan su colección libraria, tienen en cuenta este género? ¿Saben cómo utilizarlo con los diferentes usuarios de su comunidad?. Intentaremos conceptualizar el tema describiendo algunas consideraciones y dar algunas respuestas a esto interrogantes.
