English abstract

From the first moment the CFR (Colección Fernández Rivero) had among its objectives the formation of a collection of historical photography that would serve to understand the reality of the photographic phenomenon (especially in Spain) as a whole. From this point of view, it was clear that family photography should have its space in the collection, within its temporal delimitation, which in our case is comprised between the beginnings of photography, in the 1840s until the first decades of the 20th century. Our objective in this article will be to explain what have been the criteria followed for the incorporation of this type of photographs in the collection and also show numerous examples of both individual pieces and sets that respond to this classification that in principle we have called "family photography" .

Desde el primer momento la CFRivero (Colección Fernández Rivero) tuvo entre sus objetivos la formación de una colección de fotografía histórica que sirviera para la comprensión de la realidad del fenómeno fotográfico especialmente en España) en su conjunto. Desde este punto de vista estuvo claro que la fotografía familiar debía tener su espacio en la colección, dentro de su delimitación temporal, que en nuestro caso está comprendida entre los inicios de la fotografía, en la década de 1840 hasta las primeras décadas del siglo XX. Nuestro objetivo en este artículo será explicar cuáles han sido los criterios seguidos para la incorporación de este tipo de fotografías en la colección y también mostrar numerosos ejemplos tanto de piezas individuales como de conjuntos que respondan a esta clasificación que en principio hemos denominado “fotografía familiar”.
