English abstract

Developed to be the successor to the revised edition of the Anglo-American Cataloging Code, 2nd edition (AACR2), the Resource Description and Access (RDA) has been the subject of testing, training, implementation and scientific studies. Identifying the scientific production on RDA, with criteria adopted in the systematic literature mapping processes, shows the size and diversity of research that has been developed on the RDA standard. In considering this context, one wonders about the scientific contribution in discussions about the RDA. The general objective is to analyze the scientific production on the RDA and consider, as specific objectives that guide the development of this work: [1] to define the databases to be analyzed on the research theme; [2] to define the systematic literature mapping protocol; [3] to analyze the temporal evolution, the authors, the periodicals and the subjects approached; [4] to evaluate the scientific production on the GDR. The methodological procedures adopted for the development of this research, of an applied nature, are characterized by the mixed approach, with bibliographic research procedures, and the increment of the analysis of results from the identified data. These results were achieved using scientific databases and software such as StArt and Excel, and the presentation of results in schematics and graphs and content analysis.

Portuguese abstract

Palavras-chave: Resource Description and Access (RDA). RDA. Catalogação descritiva. Mapeamento sistemático de literatura.
