English abstract

This book appears useful and well written, in particular for who is new to the cataloguing of remote electronic resources. In the general organization of the volume, the lacking of an analytical index - which would have simplified very much the reference - is a burden. In this type of work, there is no glossary (brief and schematic, with the most useful definitions) too.

L'opera recensita si presenta nel complesso come utile e ben fatta, in particolare per chi si avvicina per le prime volte alla catalogazione di RER. Pesa, nell'organizzazione generale del volume, l'assenza di un indice analitico, che avrebbe semplificato non poco la consultazione. Manca anche, in un'opera così, un glossario, breve e schematico, con le definizioni più utili.
