English abstract
The purpose of this study was to explore the response of the central library of the University of Playa Ancha during the COVID-19 pandemic, more specifically, during the mandatory closure and quarantine, with respect to the digital library services offered to undergraduate students. of librarianship of the same house of studies. Through this research, the perception of these students was known about how their needs to obtain reliable and quality information extracted from the library web were satisfied. Consequently, the pandemic was not the same for some users as it was for others, making the digital divide more noticeable, of which there was already some kind of knowledge, but which increased as a result of this context. In this way, the preferences of these students regarding the library digital materials that they used during the closure and mandatory quarantine were known. A quantitative study was carried out, with the application of a structured survey and the results showed that a vast majority of the users surveyed believed that the COVID-19 pandemic made this central library innovate and break with the old paradigm that the Academic library is a physical place without movement.

El propósito de este estudio fue explorar la respuesta de la biblioteca central de la Universidad de Playa Ancha durante la pandemia de COVID-19, más específicamente, durante el cierre obligatorio y cuarentena, con respecto a los servicios digitales bibliotecarios ofrecidos a los estudiantes de pregrado de bibliotecología de la misma casa de estudios. A través de esta investigación se conoció la percepción de estos estudiantes en cómo vieron satisfechas sus necesidades de obtención de información confiable y de calidad extraídas desde la web bibliotecaria. Por consiguiente la pandemia no fue lo mismo para algunos usuarios, que para otros, haciendo más notoria la brecha digital de la que ya se tenía algún tipo de conocimiento, pero que se acrecentó producto de este contexto. De esta manera se conoció las preferencias de estos estudiantes en cuanto a los materiales digitales bibliotecarios que utilizaron durante el cierre y cuarentena obligatoria. Se llevó a cabo un estudio cuantitativo, con la aplicación de una encuesta estructurada y los resultados mostraron que una amplia mayoría de los usuarios encuestados opinó que la pandemia del COVID-19 hizo que esta biblioteca central innovara y rompiera con el antiguo paradigma de que la biblioteca académica es un lugar físico sin movimiento.
