English abstract

Massive Open Online Courses or MOOCs play as a powerful platform in Open Educational Resources (OER) which drastically changed the higher education system such as distance learning, online learning learning ,open learning methods etc. Now a day MOOCs have brought new pragmatism towards the technique of teaching and learning procedures that adopt new tools and services to distribute learners. The purpose of this paper explores the concept, Characteristics, procedure for registration, functionality, courses offered and teaching pedagogy of SWAYAM and COURSERA and creates awareness of e-learning platforms.
