English abstract

On the occasion of the sixtieth anniversary of the Educational Documentation and Information Center of the Province of Buenos Aires (CENDIE), the Conference "CENDIE: 60 years documenting education in Buenos Aires" was held on August 9, 10 and 11 and included lectures, panels and presentations by specialists and authorities of the General Directorate of Culture and Education, which were broadcast live. During the Conference, several topics related to CENDIE's lines of action, the role of librarians, the importance of School Libraries and the reading experiences they make possible, the accessibility to reading materials, the importance of mediation, among others, were discussed. This article presents a summary of what took place during the three days of the Conference and mentions the main topics of each panel or discussion.

Con motivo del sexagésimo aniversario del Centro de Documentación e Información Educativa de la provincia de Buenos Aires (CENDIE), los días 9, 10 y 11 de agosto se realizaron las Jornadas “CENDIE: 60 años documentando la educación bonaerense” que incluyeron conferencias, paneles y presentaciones a cargo de especialistas y autoridades de la Dirección General de Cultura y Educación y se transmitieron en vivo. En las Jornadas se conversó acerca de diversos temas vinculados a las líneas de acción del CENDIE, el rol de las bibliotecarias y los bibliotecarios, la importancia de las Bibliotecas Escolares y las experiencias de lectura que posibilitan, la accesibilidad a los materiales de lectura, la importancia de la mediación, entre otros. En el presente artículo se presenta un resumen de lo acontecido durante los tres días que duraron las Jornadas y se mencionan los tópicos principales de cada panel o conversatorio.
