English abstract

This is the presentation of a survey about the initiatives of digital libraries in Italian universities. Conducted with the help of a monitoring form for coordinators and presidents of university libraries systems, the survey had the aim of collecting data and information about the initiatives promoted by universities in order to foster sharing and discussion of ongoing experiences and projects that are being started. The analysis of its results (done considering categories such as the involved subjects, times, costs, funding channels, technologies, ways of usage, etc.) according to the two authors highlighted the necessity of defining a common trend line for the Italian academic digital library, through which it's possible to achieve forms of coordination between existing initiatives, the adoption of international standards, the integration of technological tools, the use of non academic fund programmes.

Presentazione dei risultati di un'indagine sulle iniziative di biblioteca digitale negli atenei italiani. Condotta con l'ausilio di una scheda di rilevamento indirizzata ai coordinatori e ai presidenti dei Sistemi bibliotecari d'ateneo, l'indagine aveva lo scopo di raccogliere dati e informazioni sulle iniziative promosse dalle università per favorire la condivisione e la discussione di esperienze in corso e progetti in fase di attivazione. L'analisi dei suoi risultati (effettuata in termini di categorie quali i soggetti coinvolti, i tempi, i costi, le fonti di finanziamento, le tecnologie, le modalità di fruizione, ecc.) ha posto in evidenza per i due autori la necessità di definire una linea d'indirizzo comune per la biblioteca digitale accademica italiana, attraverso cui realizzare forme di coordinamento fra le iniziative esistenti, il recepimento degli standard internazionali, l'integrazione degli strumenti tecnologici, l'accesso a programmi di finanziamento extrauniversitari.
