The paper discusses various digital preservation initiatives in India, digital preservation standards and tools and the challenges. Authors concluded that In India, digital preservation development is limited to government organizations and due to the lack of legislation and a national policy on digital Preservation, producers of digital information do not place a premium on conserving digital information.
