English abstract

The following article is about the organization of the Avellaneda School Librarians' Conference and how we reached 10 years of organizing them. They were born both from the need to make visible all the work carried out in school libraries, as well as to have spaces for professional training specific to the role, but with a current, broad, democratic and inclusive perspective. We keep hearing that the school library is that “library or story hour” space. The conference aims to provide tools to librarians to bring them closer, not only to literature, but also to other areas such as science, history, new information technologies, as well as current issues such as the 2030 Agenda. , to institutions such as ABGRA and the National Library of Teachers, and talks on inclusion in school libraries. The work provides some recommendations for the organization of this type of activities, wherever desired.

Spanish abstract

El siguiente artículo trata sobre la organización de las Jornadas de Bibliotecarias y Bibliotecarios Escolares de Avellaneda y cómo llegamos a 10 años de organizarlas. Nacieron tanto de la necesidad de visibilizar todo el trabajo realizado en las bibliotecas escolares, como así también de contar con espacios de formación profesional propia y específica para el rol, pero con una mirada actual, amplia, democrática e inclusiva. Seguimos escuchando que la biblioteca escolar es ese espacio de la “hora de biblioteca o del cuento”. Las jornadas tienen como objetivo el brindar herramientas a bibliotecarias y bibliotecarios para acercar la misma, no solo a la literatura, sino también a otras áreas como las ciencias, historia, nuevas tecnologías de la información, además, a temas de actualidad como la Agenda 2030, a instituciones como ABGRA y Biblioteca Nacional de Maestras y Maestros, y charlas sobre inclusión en las bibliotecas escolares. En el trabajo se brindan algunas recomendaciones para la organización de este tipo de actividades, allí donde lo deseen.
