English abstract

The fundamental essence of a library is books, which are part of its idiosyncrasy and identity. Today, however, libraries are evolving into more multifaceted spaces where diverse activities and learning can take place. Thus, libraries of different types are strengthening their facilities and exploring new services, giving a new perspective to the 21st century library as a "third space". To this end, they are deliberately configuring their spaces as fundamental civic centers, using the strategy of placemaking, with the goal of offering an integrated set of facilities and public spaces that become "the heart and soul of the community." This inclusive approach involves creating an environment where all people feel welcome and have equal access to library resources and services. It is critical to ensure that all members of the community have the opportunity to take full advantage of the resources and services the library provides. By fostering inclusion, libraries play a crucial role in building more equal and diverse communities. Among these approaches, libraries, as community centers, can play a crucial role in promoting food sustainability. Translated with DeepL.com (free version)
