English abstract

A new edition of UNIACC Workshops was held last Wednesday the 28th. In the session, organized by the School of Journalism of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences of UNIACC University (Chile), the phenomenon of misinformation was studied in the session titled Fake news: how to detect fake news? The session, which lasted approximately 90 minutes, served to delve deeper into the origins of the concept of fake news; why it is preferable to use the concept of disinformation over that of fake news; case studies and data verification on Covid-19; and a survey to analyze the ability to detect hoaxes among attendees.

Una nueva edición de Talleres UNIACC se realizó el pasado miércoles 28. En la sesión, organizada por la Escuela de Periodismo de la Facultad de Humanidades y Ciencias Sociales de Universidad UNIACC (Chile), se estudió el fenómeno de la desinformación en la sesión titulada Fake news: ¿cómo detectar noticias falsas? La sesión, de una duración aproximada de 90 minutos, sirvió para profundizar en los orígenes del concepto de fake news; el por qué es preferible utilizar el concepto de desinformación por sobre el de noticias falsas; estudios de casos y verificación de datos sobre el Covid-19; y una encuesta para analizar la capacidad de detectar bulos entre los asistentes.
