English abstract
Currently, the technological revolution is causing profound changes in the educational landscape, and ICT (Information and Communication Technologies) are playing an increasingly important role in teaching and learning. This book, titled Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in Education: Innovations, Challenges and Perspectives, is situated at the intersection between traditional pedagogy and the digital frontier to invite the reader to understand the changes that have occurred, and they must still be assumed, in education and training throughout life. Through different methodologies, the authors analyse key aspects of the digital transformation of education, such as digital literacy, digital culture, gamification, artificial intelligence, virtual reality and augmented reality. Some of the main findings of the book highlight that: ICT offers great potential to improve education as it can improve accessibility, collaboration and the learning experience. However, the digital transformation of education poses some challenges, such as the need for digital literacy and the digital divide. These challenges must be addressed for the digital transformation of education to be successful. The work concludes with a reflection on the implications of the digital transformation of education for the future of learning. In summary, this book is a valuable contribution to the debate on the digital transformation of education. It offers a comprehensive view of the challenges and opportunities posed by this transformation, and provides guidance to address them effectively.

En la actualidad, la revolución tecnológica está provocando profundos cambios en el panorama educativo, y las TIC (Tecnologías de la Información y la Comunicación) están desempeñando un papel cada vez más importante en la enseñanza y el aprendizaje. Este libro, titulado Las Tecnologías de la Información y Comunicación (TIC) en la Educación: Innovaciones, Desafíos y Perspectivas, se sitúa en la intersección entre la pedagogía tradicional y la frontera digital para invitar al lector a entender los cambios que se han producido, y todavía deben asumirse, en la educación y la formación a lo largo de la vida. A través de distintas metodologías, los autores analizan aspectos clave de la transformación digital de la educación, como la alfabetización digital, la cultura digital, la gamificación, la inteligencia artificial, la realidad virtual y la realidad aumentada. Algunos de los principales hallazgos del libro destacan que: Las TIC ofrecen un gran potencial para mejorar la educación, ya que pueden mejorar la accesibilidad, la colaboración y la experiencia de aprendizaje. Sin embargo, la transformación digital de la educación plantea algunos desafíos, como la necesidad de alfabetización digital y la brecha digital. Es necesario abordar estos retos para que la transformación digital de la educación sea exitosa. La obra concluye con una reflexión sobre las implicaciones de la transformación digital de la educación para el futuro del aprendizaje.
