English abstract

This paper differentiates the characteristics of goods, e-services, and services and examine the various e-services rendered by the libraries such as access to electronic journals/magazines, books, databases, Library Circulation Service, Web OPAC, Digital Reference Service, Electronic Current Awareness Service, Electronic Document Delivery Service and the Online Alert Service. The authors opined that the main characteristic of e-service is its adaptability, and libraries need to deliver effective electronic services to its patrons.
