English abstract

The visit to the exposition "Colours of the music. Paintings, instruments and concerts between 16th and 17th century" led us thinking to the definitions of document and to ponder if and how they are suitable to such exposition.

Italian abstract

La visita alla mostra sui "Colori della musica. Dipinti, strumenti e concerti tra il Cinquecento e Seicento" (in corso a Roma fino a tutto febbraio e da aprile a Siena) ci ha portato a ripensare alle definizioni di documento e ed a esaminare se e come esse "convengono" ad una manifestazione di questo tipo.
