English abstract

This paper attempts to find methods to improve user satisfaction with the online public access catalog (OPAC) in the deemed university libraries in Tamil Nadu. Survey method was adopted and collected 998 responses which are analysed and interpreted. Study found that every student is aware of the OPAC and that most of them picked up how to utilize it from the library personnel. The majority of respondents opined that they prefer to search using the library software and links given on the website for OPAC.
