English abstract
School libraries play a crucial role in supporting learning within educational institutions by providing information resources and services to both students and teachers. It is essential that these resources be accessible to all without obstacles. Addressing accessibility in libraries involves ensuring equal opportunities for access to information in education. The objective of this exploratory study is to assess the state of school libraries in the Cordillera department of Paraguay with regard to accessibility for individuals with disabilities. This study demonstrates the existence of barriers in school libraries in Paraguay. Such barriers must be addressed and rectified in accordance with the guidelines outlined in international treaties signed by Paraguay, as well as the national accessibility regulations

Las bibliotecas escolares apoyan el aprendizaje en las instituciones educativas, ya que brindan recursos de información y servicios a estudiantes y docentes. Resulta fundamental que todos puedan acceder a ellas sin dificultades. Contemplar la accesibilidad en bibliotecas significa brindar una igualdad de oportunidades en el acceso a la información y en la educación. El objetivo de este estudio exploratorio es verificar el estado en que se encuentran las bibliotecas escolares del departamento de Cordillera, Paraguay, en relación a la accesibilidad para personas con discapacidad. Con este trabajo quedó demostrada la existencia de barreras en las bibliotecas escolares de Paraguay. Esta realidad debe ir modificándose y adecuándose a los lineamientos de tratados internacionales suscriptos por Paraguay y a la normativa nacional de accesibilidad.
