English abstract

Italy registers a tendence towards print-on-demand and e-book. The setting is not homogeneous with experiences still not mature to create a real demand, but the feeling is that the way is irrversible and intended to create an international movement. AIDA wants to put together in occasion of the Italian Forum at Online Information Meeting 2001 a panel of experts that can offer discussion hints to people operatig with documentation to decipher the changes and understand the consequences for professions.

Italian abstract

In Italia nel campo della produzione editoriale si registrano movimenti verso il print on demand e l'e-book. La sensazione è che per adesso il panorama sia "a macchia di leopardo" con esperienze ancora non mature per poter creare una vera e propria domanda del mercato, ma che la strada imboccata sia irreversibile e destinata ad incanalarsi nel movimento a livello internazionale. L'AIDA anche quest'anno vuol riunire nell'Italian Forum all'Online Information Meeting 2001, un panel di esperti che possano offrire degli spunti di discussione a chi opera nel campo della documentazione per riuscire a decifrare i cambiamenti in atto e comprendere le ricadute sull'attività professionale.
