English abstract

Although authorship rights and the order of author names are treated with considerable sensitivity in journal article publication, this issue has not received adequate attention in the publication of books and collective reports, particularly those involving a large number of contributors. As collaborative research becomes increasingly common, authorship and adherence to its associated ethical principles are gradually emerging as highly complex matters. Proper attribution and citation, as a means of respecting intellectual property rights, constitute a significant concern in this context. Nevertheless, to date, no consensus has been reached within the research community regarding how to define authorship for books or collective reports. This issue is intrinsically tied to ethical considerations and scientific integrity, as it clearly indicates who is accountable for and owns the published work. As a general principle, the responsibility for upholding ethical standards in the dissemination of research findings and scholarly works rests with all contributors, not solely with the principal investigator or project lead. Existing studies indicate that the criteria commonly applied to journal article authorship, namely: (1) substantial contributions to the conception, design, data collection, analysis, or interpretation; and (2) active involvement in drafting the manuscript or critically revising its intellectual content, are equally applicable to book authorship. A particularly important issue arises when responsibility for preparing or compiling one or more sections of a book is delegated to specific individuals. Key questions in such cases include whether one may legitimately claim authorship of the book if: 1. One’s contribution was limited to providing the original idea; 2. One was assigned responsibility for compiling a section of the book, but for various reasons, delegated the actual work to another person; or 3. Including one’s name would enhance the book’s credibility or improve its chances of publication.

علي رغم آنکه در انتشار مقالات تا حدود زيادي رعايت حق نويسندگان و ترتيب اسامي از حساسيت قابل توجهي برخوردار مي باشد اما در نشر کتب و گزارش هاي جمعي، به ويژه آن هايي که نويسندگان آن تعداد کثيري مي باشند، به اين مهم به ميزان کفايت توجه نمي گردد. با افزايش همکاري هاي پژوهشي، نويسندگي و رعايت اصول اخلاقي مرتبط با آن به تدريج به عنوان يکي از موضوع هاي بسيار پيچيده قلمداد مي گردد. اهميت استناد در جهت رعايت حق مالکيت يکي از موضوع-هاي قابل توجه در اين زمينه مي باشد؛ اما تاکنون در فعاليت هاي پژوهشي و نشر آن ها در قالب کتاب يا گزارش، اجماع لازم براي تعريف نويسندگان حاصل نشده است. اين موضوع با مضامين اخلاقي و صداقت علمي گره مي خورد؛ چرا که به طور شفاف دلالت بر اين امر دارد که چه کسي مسئول و صاحب کار انتشار يافته است. به عنوان يک اصل کلي، مسئوليت رعايت اخلاق در نشر نتايج پژوهش ها و آثار علمي بر عهده کليه پژوهشگران و نه فقط پژوهشگر اصلي (مدير اجرايي پروژه) است. مطالعات انجام شده نشان مي دهد آن چه که در مورد نويسندگان مقالات حاکم مي-باشد از جمله: 1. مشارکت و همکاري قابل توجه در درک، طراحي، جمع آوري و تحليل و تفسير داده ها 2. مشارکت در تهيه چارچوب مقاله يا بازبيني و ويرايش آن؛ در مورد نويسندگان کتاب نيز صادق مي باشد (1). يکي از مسايل مهم قابل توجه در هنگام تدوين کتاب زماني است که مسئوليت تهيه و تدوين بخش يا بخش-هايي از آن به فرد يا افرادي محول شده است. از جمله سؤالات مهمي که در اين خصوص مطرح مي شود اين است که آيا من مي توانم به عنوان يکي از نويسندگان اين کتاب باشم 1- چنانچه در تهيه اين کتاب من فقط ايده دهنده بوده ام، 2- مسئوليت گردآوري و تدوين بخشي از کتاب به من محول شده است؛ اما بدلايل مختلف من نتوانسته ام آن را انجام دهم و از فرد ديگري براي اين کار کمک گرفته ام 3- با اضافه کردن نام من مقبوليت و شانس چاپ کتاب بالا مي رود.
