English abstract

Writing a scientific article for a systematic review of the scientific literature implies that the researcher, who may be a novice student or an outstanding professional, has developed certain skills and abilities in search, methodology, writing, presentation of results and follows a series of clear guidelines that provide the structure and ensure that the research can be replicated, which takes time to develop. In this context, the general objective of this research was to delve into the PICO (Population, Intervention, Comparison, Outcome) and PRISMA (Main elements for developing systematic reviews and meta-analysis) methodological structures for the development of a correct research question and search for scientific articles for the systematic review, serving as a guide by presenting theory and examples of its applicability. The methodology was a review of the scientific literature under the PRISMA methodology for the Scopus database, complemented with Scielo, obtaining a total of 15 articles for analysis. The results were able to go into depth and provide examples of the application of the PICO methodologies, related to the development of the research question, and PRISMA related to the systematic search for scientific articles. The limitations of the research were related to the different ways, some correct and others with deficiencies, in which the researchers use and apply both methodologies, making the preparation of this manuscript essential.

Redactar un artículo científico de revisión sistemática de la literatura científica implica que el investigador, que puede ser un estudiante novato o profesional destacado, hayan desarrollado determinadas destrezas y habilidades de búsqueda, metodología, redacción, presentación de resultados y sigan una serie de directrices claras que le proporcionen la estructura y asegure que la investigación pueda ser replicable, lo cual toma un tiempo desarrollarlas. En ese contexto, la presente investigación tuvo como objetivo general profundizar en las estructuras metodológicas PICO (Población, Intervención, Comparación, Resultado) y PRISMA (Principales elementos para elaborar revisiones sistemáticas y metanálisis) para la elaboración de una correcta pregunta de investigación y búsqueda de artículos científicos para la revisión sistemática, sirviendo como guía al presentar teoría y ejemplos de su aplicabilidad. La metodología fue de revisión de la literatura científica bajo la metodología PRISMA para la base de datos Scopus siendo complementada con Scielo, obteniendo un total de 15 artículos para su análisis. Los resultados lograron profundizar y dar ejemplos de la aplicación de las metodologías PICO, relacionada a la elaboración de la pregunta de investigación, y PRISMA relacionada con la búsqueda sistemática de artículos científicos. Las limitaciones de la investigación estuvieron relacionadas con las diferentes formas, algunas correctas y otras con deficiencias, en que los investigadores emplean y aplican ambas metodologías siendo indispensable la elaboración de este manuscrito.
