English abstract

In recent years, digital marketing has become a key resource for public libraries, not only to promote their products and services but also to ensure these align with users’ expectations. This study exami nes how eleven public libraries in Chile’s Metropolitan Region implement digital marketing practices. Based on survey data, the findings indicate that social media platforms are the primary channel used to publicize activities, products, and services. Nevertheless, the lack of formal training in marketing means that most initiatives are carried out without structured digital marketing strategies.
