English abstract
In the current context of Open Science, researcher visibility has become a strategic element for democratizing knowledge and enhancing its social impact. Although institutional visibility is often prioritized, it is necessary to highlight the crucial role of the researcher through the development of a strong digital identity. In institutions such as Cuban medical universities, challenges such as limited access to publications and inequality in digital dissemination persist. Integrating the principles of Open Science not only increases the transparency and reproducibility of results but also enhances the visibility of researchers, facilitates international collaboration, and strengthens the university's social commitment.
Spanish abstract
En el contexto actual de la Ciencia Abierta la visibilidad del investigador se ha convertido en un elemento estratégico para democratizar el conocimiento y potenciar su impacto social. Aunque a menudo se prioriza la visibilidad institucional, es necesario destacar el papel determinante del investigador mediante el desarrollo de una identidad digital sólida . En instituciones como las universidades médicas cubanas aún persisten desafíos como el acceso limitado a publicaciones y la desigualdad en la difusión digital. La integración de los preceptos de la Ciencia Abierta no solo incrementa la transparencia y la reproducibilidad de los resultados, sino que también potencia la visibilidad de los investigadores, facilita la colaboración internacional y fortalece el compromiso social de la universidad.
