English abstract

From the antiquity the idea that is already present the disease - Infirmitas: lack of firmness affects to the person of a global way, that is not only that specific part of the body, the one that within the process to become ill needs aid, but that stops to recover the dynamic balance between the person and her means, it is precise to consider all the components that constitute the reality of the human being. Nowadays it is admitted without difficulty that any therapy related to the spiritual component of the man, or music, theater, reading, etc. helps of considerable way to recover the balance that is lost when becoming ill. It is in this scope and within the process cure-to take care of where it receives meaning the implantation and development of the Libraries of Patients.

Ya desde la antigüedad está presente la idea de que la enfermedad -Infirmitas: falta de firmeza- afecta a la persona de una manera global, que no sólo es aquella parte específica del cuerpo, la que dentro del proceso de enfermar necesita ayuda, sino que para restaurar el equilibrio dinámico entre la persona y su medio, es preciso tener en cuenta todos los componentes que constituyen la realidad del ser humano. Hoy día se admite sin dificultad que cualquier terapia relacionada con el componente espiritual del hombre, ya sea música, teatro, lectura, etc. ayudan de manera considerable a restaurar el equilibrio que se pierde al enfermar. Es en este ámbito y dentro del proceso curar-cuidar donde cobra significado la implantación y desarrollo de las Bibliotecas de Pacientes.
