English abstract

This review will examine how Leo Tolstoy's novel War and Peace portrays the Napoleonic Wars and reflects on history and human action, particularly Tolstoy's views on determinism versus free will. It will also discuss how the novel's themes—the impact of war on society, the nature of leadership, and the unpredictability of historical events—resonate with contemporary global geopolitics.

Această recenzie va examina modul în care romanul „Război și pace” de Lev Tolstoi portretizează războaiele napoleoniene și reflectă asupra istoriei și acțiunii umane, în special asupra opiniilor lui Tolstoi despre determinism versus liber arbitru. De asemenea, va discuta modul în care temele romanului – impactul războiului asupra societății, natura conducerii și imprevizibilitatea evenimentelor istorice – rezonează cu geopolitica globală contemporană.
