English abstract
This study examines the growth and development of big data research using a quantitative scientometric approach. Data from 1,346 Scopus records (2013–June 2022) were analyzed using MS Excel and VOSviewer (1.16.6). Research output increased rapidly until 2019 but declined in 2020, possibly due to COVID-19. The highest collaboration degree was recorded in 2022 (0.96), while the 2019 article CellMarker: A manually curated resource of cell markers in human and mouse received 252 citations. The study shows how scientometric analysis helps identify leading countries and institutions in big data research.
