English abstract

Analysis of free and available CMS (Content Management Systems) in relation to a previous application at the Comune di Torino (information site on disabilities). Description of WCMS characteristics. The second chapter explains the meanings of content and content management, and offers an overview of the available open source management systems. The thesis describes XML and the use of DTD for content definition, and the use of CSS for XML documents presentation.

Italian abstract

Analisi dei CMS Content Management Systems liberi e disponibili in relazione ad una applicazione esistente presso il Comune di Torino (sito informazione sull'handicap). Descrizione delle caratteristiche del WCMS sviluppato. Il capitolo 2. spiega i significati di contenuto e di content management e offre una panoramica dei sistemi di gestione di contenuto disponibili sul mercato opensource. La tesi descrive anche XML e l'utilizzo dei DTD per la definizione di contenuto e l'uso dei CSS per la presentazione dei documenti XML.
